Learning outcomes (list)
After expert preparation, the graduate independently carries out standardized electromechanical maintenance, adjustment and repair work in a familiar field and under the supervision of a supervisor.
| The student explains the different kinds of earthing concepts in distribution networks (IT; TN and TT network)
The graduate reads and interprets instructions, drawings, diagrams, descriptions, nameplate data and explanatory notes in which technical information is consulted in one foreign language.
| The student identifies the different network structures in an electrical circuit by using a diagram and discusses the properties
| The student identifies the different parts in a high voltage station and explains the necessity of it
| The student explains the necessity of the different stations found in electricity networks.
The graduate works in a sustainable, socially responsible and high-quality manner and applies safety and technical standards in a familiar field.
| The student identifies the main components of a high-voltage power line on the basis of a picture/model and explains their mechanical and electrical properties.
| The student lists in the correct order the procedure for safely switching on and off a high-voltage station (vital 5-7-8) and explains the necessity of this procedure.
| The student explains the use and parts of a power plant
Multimedia reporting: report in a multimedia way to users, colleagues and superiors on the conditions of teechnical installations and formulates improvement proposals considering use and functioning.
| The student describes the construction of an electricity grid by using a scheme
The qualified maintenance technician checks and examines with the necessary insight the functioning of technical installations on the basis of current measurement and analysis techniques.
| The student explains the operation of safety equipment on the basis of a diagram.
The qualified maintenance technician carries out self-proposed interventions regarding maintenance-technical aspects, based on measurement results and available data, under the supervision of a supervisor.
| The student justifies the use of different types of switches (switch-disconnectors, disconnectors and power switches) that are being used in a high voltage installation
| The student identifies the risks in a high voltage installation and determines the safety distances that need to be respected
| The student explains the working principle of the different protective relays of a circuit breaker.
