Short description
In modules 1 & 2, we focus on communication and vocabulary within the hotel industry. During the lessons, the emphasis is mainly on enhancing communication skills.
Prerequisite competencies (text)
This course is a regular course of our bachelor's students (Hotelmanagement). The course is taught in French. A good knowledge of French is thus necessary.
The erasmus students will be tested on campus to determine whether they are classified in French Intermediate or French Advanced.

This course is taught in French. You will join 2nd year students who have a good knowledge of French.
The accents placed on the learning content below will be adapted to the needs of the class group. The focus lies mainly on developing communicative skills in a professional context as well as in a general context. At the beginning of the lessons, students will often be invited to share experiences or express an opinion. Grammar instruction will be limited to contextual usage.
Communicative Skills based on the textbook "Bienvenue":
Unité 5: Le mail
Students will learn to compose a professional email for various situations (e.g., responding to a reservation request, responding to a complaint, responding to a reservation modification request, an invitation, etc.).
Unité 6: Les réclamations
Students will learn through "useful phrases" how to professionally respond to customer complaints in various situations.
Unité 7: Les services et les activités
Services and Activities - Students will learn about the services offered in a hotel and the duties of various staff members.
