Learning outcomes (list)

You produce a simple business text (mail, report...).
You produce a coherent text or write a clear report on topics that are familiar.
You exchange information with colleagues and give information to customers, both verbally and in writing.
You understand documents, articles, reports and emails from your field.
You express yourself spontaneously and correctly in most formal situations and use the appropriate business terminology.
You give simple, well-prepared presentations on sector-specific topics and know how to build an appropriate, clearly understandable structure.
You correctly apply the grammar covered (such as adjective/adverbs, conditionals, passive, etc.).
You follow the big picture on very familiar topics if they are still very slow and clearly articulated.

Course content

  • Grammatical items: among others, passives, conditionals, adjectives, adverbs, quantifiers, phrasal verbs.
  • Thematic vocabulary from 'Select&Learn' textbook.
  • Current Affairs (news items focused on graduate studies)

 At the end of this course unit you will reach CEFR level B1.
