Learning outcomes (list)

1. Basic measurements & testing – Electrical: I perform basic electrical measurements and tests to ensure the proper functioning of an HVAC system.
I investigate the behaviour of single-phase transformers.
I calculate the electrical quantities of charge, potential, voltage, current, resistance, power, and efficiency.
I explain the operation mode of an electrical circuit.
I describe the basic parameters of an electrical network.
I explain the properties of resistors, capacitors, and inductor coils.
I calculate and illustrate the electrical quantities in a single-phase and three-phase network.
I measure the electrical quantities of voltage, current, resistance, power, and power factor.
I use the appropriate measuring instrument to locate a problem.
I investigate the properties of electrical components.
5. Perform work in accordance with safety regulations/procedures: I perform high-quality HVAC tasks, utilizing the applicable safety provisions and procedures.
I connect electrical components correctly.
I work safely on electrical devices.
I work in a professional manner with standard electrical (measuring) devices.
7. Collaborate constructively in a team: I work constructively as part of a diverse team, operationally manage some staff and take initiative in planning and executing approved assignments.

10. Independently assemble installations: I independently assemble air conditioning systems based on detailed instructions.
I connect components using an electrical diagram.
