Prerequisites

There are no prerequisites for this course.

Learning outcomes (list)

1. Expertise: You have insight into how electrical and mechanical components influence each other in products, services, and systems, and you align them accordingly.
You determine the allowable stress based on the load (static, dynamic) and the material used.
You calculate the effects of spring forces and friction on an installation.
You identify and characterise machine parts in relation to different types of loads (tension, compression, torsion, etc.).
You calculate internal and external forces, moments, and the resulting stresses in mechanical structures.
You locate the centre of gravity of a body.
You calculate the effect of temperature changes on a body.
You calculate the relationship between a load and the length change of a body.
4. Analysis and justification: You independently analyze a technical question or problem within the framework of a complex electromechanical project and propose technically sound solutions.
You statically free mechanical constructions and formulate mechanical equations.
6. Informed decision-making: You make a technically, sustainably, and economically sound choice from available components to integrate into an electromechanical system.
You select load components according to practical tables.
