Learning outcomes (list)

EM01: know-how / expertise
You can balance a system staticly and dynamicly by using mathematical calculations.
1. Expertise: You have insight into how electrical and mechanical components influence each other in products, services, and systems, and you align them accordingly.
You formulate mechanical equations and solve them to analyse forces, movements, and energy transformations in systems.
You describe and analyse different types of movements, including uniform and variable linear motion, projectile motion, and motion in two dimensions.
You formulate motion equations and calculate quantities such as displacement, velocity, acceleration, angular velocity, and angular acceleration for both linear and rotational systems.
You apply d'Alembert’s principle to determine equilibrium conditions and forces in dynamic systems.
You calculate the effect of centripetal and centrifugal forces on a body in curvilinear motion.
You analyse relative motion between different reference frames and you apply this to moving bodies.
You calculate work, power, and energy in mechanical systems and set up an energy balance to evaluate energy losses and efficiency.
4. Analysis and justification: You independently analyze a technical question or problem within the framework of a complex electromechanical project and propose technically sound solutions.
You dynamically free mechanical constructions and you determine the resulting forces and moments.
You apply Newton’s laws and conservation laws (energy, momentum, moment) to support the dynamics of a system.
