Learning outcomes (list)

1. Expertise: You have insight into how electrical and mechanical components influence each other in products, services, and systems, and you align them accordingly.
You explain the differences in structure and operation between a distribution and transmission network.
You identify the vital procedures with the related personal protective equipment (PPE).
You use the AREI (General Regulations for Electrical Installations) to design a correct low-voltage installation.
You explain the relationship between the current passing through the human body and the voltage safety curves in the AREI.
You characterise the properties and applications of electrical wiring with corresponding national and international designations.
You justify the choice of the correct protection device and switching material for a given electrical installation.
You determine the correct electrical wiring through a simple cable calculation.
You justify the correct use of an electric motor based on a given nameplate.
For a given motor load, you justify the different components needed to achieve the correct protection circuits.
