Understand
You explore how different media (such as screen interfaces, physical installations or print) each encourage unique forms of interaction.
You analyse existing interactive designs for their effectiveness in driving actions or evoking a specific experience.
You reason out which visual or structural choices are most suitable to realise a desired interaction or user experience.
You recognise how design principles such as navigation, structure, sequence and tactility are deployed to guide users in both digital and analogue media.
Explore
You apply principles of interactive design in developing prototypes in which form and behaviour are aligned
You design simple interactions in which user behaviour is controlled through visual elements such as colour, typography, rhythm or sequence.
You develop an interactive design in which form, behaviour and user experience come together into a convincing and well-founded concept.
Materialize
You evaluate design choices using user tests and reflect on the role of the user within the design process.
Professionalizing
You explain the ways in which graphic design influences user experience, behaviour and emotion.
