The student is able to present his / her artistic work (research and realizations) verbally and visually at an advanced level.

Course content

Reflection and communication are a two-way process.
On the one hand, you develop methods to present and share your work. On the other hand, you develop these methods to gain a deeper understanding of the work’s substance and thus explore it further.

Various components include:

  • Writing texts to convey an artistic work through language. Language is used as an extension of artistic practice, in which speaking and writing—just like the visual image—form a personal identity and a coherent whole.
  • Engaging in dialogue about other designers’ working methods to develop an understanding of different types of work.
  • Applying scenography to present the artistic work in an exhibition setting, not only for the student’s own jury but also to learn to think more broadly about exhibiting work.
  • Designing a personal portfolio with visual material from the Jewelry Design Studio, to be processed using drawing techniques and/or digital image editing and digital layout.
  • Be able to defend one’s own bachelor’s project orally.
