Short description

In the 3rd bachelor, the student learns to deal with the scenographic phenomenon: the impact of space on the theatrical moment.

The student learns to deal with three-dimensional spatial data; how can you strengthen a performance by intervening in the space, by adding, by omitting. How do you create monumentality, and how do you use lighting to enhance your space

Course content

The student undertakes a work placement in the professional field as an assistant or on a shadowing placement (NOT AS AN INDEPENDENT DESIGNER) (max. 180 hours): theatre, film, TV, opera, musicals, ballet, dance, puppet theatre.
Collaboration with a director/choreographer/designer on a project may be initiated by the student or proposed by clients working in the performing arts, film or TV themselves. Under no circumstances may students be employed merely as costume makers in a costume workshop.

The placement supervisor must first approve the internship content before the student may commence the placement.

The student is responsible for the internship contracts. These must be signed before the internship begins. The student must send proof of signature to the internship supervisor before the intership begins. Without proof of signature by the Academy’s administration, the student is not insured.

EVALUATION OF THE INTERNSHIP
Evaluation of the internship is done by the relevant internship supervisor through an internship visit and on the basis of the student's visual internship portfolio and report.
These should reflect the course and learning process during the internship.
Furthermore, a feedback report on cooperation, work attitude and course of the internship is expected from the internship supervisor.
Your internship portfolio and also all reports must be present at the jury. The student is in order with the mandatory internship documents. The student respects the deadlines for submitting the internship portfolio.
