Course content

Course Content 1

Development of an Artistic Concept

Development of a personal artistic inquiry and visual language through experimentation, observation, reflection, and artistic research.
Investigation of concept, theme, form, and content within an autonomous sculptural practice.
Use of sketches, notes, maquettes, references, literature, and artistic experiments to support conceptual development.
Exploration of connections between personal interests, artistic choices, and sculptural form.
Development of a more independent and investigative attitude within the creative process.

Course Content 2

Material Research and Form Development

Investigation of the possibilities of different materials, techniques, and construction methods within sculpture.
Experimentation with form, scale, colour, texture, spatiality, and presentation within sculptural assignments and autonomous projects.
Exploration of the relationship between material choice, technical execution, and artistic intention.
Investigation of different ways in which sculptural form and presentation can generate meaning.
Development of insight into the interaction between material research, form development, and personal visual language.

Course Content 3

Documentation of the Artistic Process

Documentation of the artistic process through sketches, photographs, collages, notes, material tests, maquettes, and process reports.
Exercises focused on recording, organising, and analysing experiments, working processes, and artistic choices.
Compilation of a documentation file or portfolio in which the development of autonomous work becomes visible.
Use of documentation as a research tool and reflective instrument within the artistic trajectory.
Development of insight into the relationship between artistic research, process, and visual development.

Course Content 4

Reflection and Dialogue

Critical reflection on the individual working process, artistic choices, and the development of personal practice.
Discussion of artworks and research processes during group discussions, feedback sessions, studio visits, and evaluations.
Exercises focused on analysing, contextualising, and articulating artistic intentions and visual decisions.
Development of an investigative and communicative attitude through dialogue, exchange, and critical feedback.
