Course content

In Material & Technique, gesture takes centre stage: meaning arises through physical action and the direct interaction between observation, form and material. Students explore how tactility, movement, and making processes generate a personal visual language. Through experimentation with diverse techniques, they investigate how the act of making itself becomes meaningful within graphic design.

MTGD3 – Advanced Level

Material & Technique 3 encourages students to develop an autonomous path, starting from a personal fascination or research question. Students combine techniques in innovative ways and explore alternative processes, hybrid installations or performative applications. The emphasis is on research, documentation, and positioning the work within the broader field of graphic design.
