Short description

Within the Reporting Europe project, you go on a study trip to Strasbourg where, among other things, you visit a number of European institutions and a concentration camp. About half of the study trip is subsidised by MEPs.

Prior to the four-day visit, students prepare themselves thoroughly in terms of content in order to carry out journalistic assignments on site (compulsory guest lectures by experts, meetings by editorial groups, etc.).

The students work in groups on a multimedia assignment within a specific theme, guided by a lecturer. The assignment lies within the context of Europe, European policy and European reporting and is carried out on site.

This group assignment is prepared individually by each person on the basis of an interview with an English-speaking expert/interlocutor and research via English-language sources.

The journalistic products are then compiled online in an EU dossier at https://wrap.apstudent.be/ and orally explained to the supervising lecturers during a presentation.Together with students and coaches from the Bachelor of Journalism you go for four days to Strasbourg (23-26 November 2026). You’ll study the EU’s situation, past and future by visiting European institutions, interviewing MEPs, visiting museums and a concentration camp. You produce videos, texts, audio reportages and photographs to be published on the online platform wrap.apstudent.be. All products are related to a current, European theme.
This course is limited to 10 participants.
There will be a travel expence to be paid by each participating student: in 25-26 it was 185 euros.
