There are no prerequisites for this course.

Short description

In this course, you will learn to discuss and present designs in English. You will also gain experience in oral and written communication with clients. You will further specialise in the types of information typically encountered in your future professional context through listening, speaking, reading and writing exercises.

During the lectures and seminars, your general, commercial, graphic design and multimedia vocabulary, as well as your specialist terminology in English, will be further expanded, and your grammatical proficiency will be developed towards C1 level.

Please note: To ensure academic success, only students with a CEFR level B2 (in terms of skills, grammar and vocabulary) will be admitted to this specialist course. Responsibility for this lies with the student. Students may make use of the level assessment materials provided and seek advice from the lecturer regarding their current CEFR level.

You apply knowledge of grammar (European level B2/C1) in written and spoken contexts in English.
You use business, professional English vocabulary in written contexts.
You use subject-specific English vocabulary in written and spoken contexts.
You understand more complex content in written texts related to the cross-media landscape and business and professional contexts.
