Short description

In this module, you will explore UX/UI and interaction design from a strategic and research-based perspective. You will learn how to set up and facilitate design workshops with clients, users and stakeholders in order to translate complex design challenges into well-thought-out user experiences. You will work in a structured manner using tools such as Figma and apply design thinking methodologies, prototyping and testing to explore and refine design choices. In addition, you will explore psychological principles within interaction design and develop a critical and ethical awareness of behavioural design, user behaviour and digital influence.

Course content

The following topics will be covered:

  • UX/UI and interaction design within complex design challenges
  • Design thinking and workshop methodologies for co-creation and stakeholder participation
  • Facilitating workshops with clients, users and stakeholders
  • User research, testing and validation of design decisions
  • User journeys, service blueprints and complex user flows
  • Wireframing, high-fidelity prototyping and design systems in Figma
  • Interaction patterns, micro-interactions and interface behaviour
  • Behavioural design and psychological principles within interaction design
  • Critical and ethical reflection on user behaviour, influence and digital experiences
  • Translating research insights into evidence-based UX/UI solutions
