Short description

Every academic year, the AP college organises a lecture series of about 10 lectures, English-speaking and Dutch-speaking.
Students following this programme attend a minimum of 4 lectures.
Studium Generale offers evening lectures in which speakers give their vision/reflection on a central, cross-curricular theme. The central annual theme is thus highlighted from various angles. Problematisation and critical analysis are paramount. The lectures focus on interdisciplinarity and social relevance.
The lectures are attended by students from various courses within AP University of Applied Sciences and are open to external audiences.

Prerequisite competencies (text)

The aim of the course is that students can enter from different programs. Students are expected to:
- have a general social and cultural frame of reference;
- have sufficient knowledge of their own field of study;
- be able to formulate in correct English.

De papers moeten minimum voldoen aan de volgende criteria:
· Lengte van de paper ligt rond de 2 500 woorden
· De tekst is opgesteld in correct Nederlands of Engels
· De student komt tot een eigen vraagstelling die verder uitgewerkt wordt vertrekkende vanuit de lezingen en onderbouwd met relevant bronmateriaal

1. Analyse van en persoonlijke/ kritische reflectie op een centrale vraagstelling.
Juiste duidelijke weergave van het besproken onderwerp
(Zelf)kritische, onderzoek gerichte houding
Heldere eigen bewering t.o.v. besproken onderwerp
Relevant en correct bronnengebruik
