1. Physiology, care and guidance
You describe the physiological observations in a healthy newborn. 
You describe the physiological changes in the postpartum woman during the normal postpartum period and up to one year postpartum. 
You describe the physiological functioning of breastfeeding. 
You describe the impact of a physiological pregnancy and birth on the sexual health and experience of new parents. 
You describe the psychomotor development of the young child. 
You describe the physiological bilirubin metabolism. 
You describe the course of a physiological wound healing process. 
You explain the vaccination schedule. 
You explain standard examinations performed in a healthy newborn. 
2. Risk detection and Risk selection
You extract relevant information from the mother–child record. 
4. Psycho-social context
You describe the impact of the birth of a baby on the family, in terms of parenthood, partner relationship, and family context. 
5. Ethics and legislation
You explain the legislation related to the vaccination schedule. 
You explain the legislation and regulations regarding pregnancy, maternity care, notification and registration of birth, parentage, relationship and cohabitation arrangements, and vaccination in Belgium. 
6. Health education
You provide advice on physiological complaints related to breastfeeding. 
You provide advice on preventive measures related to safety and health in a child up to one year of age. 
You provide advice regarding the introduction of solid foods to a healthy baby. 
You provide advice on the composition and administration of different types of formula feeding. 
You provide advice on physiological changes and the associated discomforts experienced by the postpartum woman. 
You provide advice on sexuality and contraception during the postpartum period. 
10. Evidence-based midwifery
You define the importance and content of the concepts of evidence-based practice and evidence-based midwifery. 
You formulate a research question based on a predefined midwifery problem using the PICOST method. 
You identify reliable and relevant professional literature using scientific databases, inclusion and exclusion criteria, Boolean operators, and self-formulated search terms. 
You explain, based on midwifery scientific literature, the type and level of measurement of variables, the measurement instruments used, the study design, and the research design.

De extra examentijd als individuele aanpassing is hierbij dus inbegrepen.
